Here are some brief snippets from this episode:

[00:00:50]
The word coaching or the label coach has become a really, really common term. There are so many different flavors of what coaching is and how we define it. How can we make people aware of what it is? And how can we thrive in the industry?

[00:01:38]
Chris Goodman is a life coach for business owners who want to become their best. He has 15,000 hours of coaching and training, five years of corporate litigation experience, plus a sales record of 21 million plus. Let's talk about the coaching industry, what it takes to be a great coach, and how you can leverage these skills to build your business.

[00:08:58]
The bar for entry into the coaching world is extremely low. What I do is ask questions, draw the person out, and help the person explore their own world. Real coaching can be when you do it well at a high level and with lots of reps.

[00:19:26]
The art of coaching deals more with the psychology of the person. Getting a sense of awareness that cannot come without self-exploration or personal growth. When you go through that unlearning, anything becomes possible.

[00:21:08]
What are the key ingredients to really skyrocket a coaching business? The first and most important one is having a great coach and or mentor. The other thing is starting to transform one-on-one coaching and mentoring into group or mastermind marketing coaching.

[00:27:33]
A lot of people in coaching or consulting feel like they're the voice of authority. It's not your job to say what they should do, you should just be listening to what they need. It takes a lot of personal power to hold space for someone in their discomfort.

[00:33:06]
A lot of people identify as coaches. Why not transition from coach to something more in line with what you're actually doing? How do you know if you are coachable if you know that this is something that you want to pursue to work with a coach?

[00:38:58]
The ultimate hallmark of being coachable is taking full responsibility for what's working and what isn't. You can infuse coaching skills into any type of client service business. You don't have to be a life coach to use life coaching skills to speak to people.
