It's an overwhelming thought to go through when you're starting a business--but don't let the overwhelm stop you from creating a website that will convert well and attract your ideal customer."

When it comes to websites, we always get conflicting advice. We're going to talk about when it makes sense to have a website. Our guest is going to take us through five key elements to have on your website.

[00:05:31]
When do you need a website? Are people waiting too long to start websites? You want to really start with the goal. The best decision I made with my website guys was hiring a copywriter first. Next, what you need to do is to really map out your website.

[00:08:38]
I definitely will not recommend just working with one person. You need different people to work on a big project. Without having all these different roles, things might have holes around it.

[00:12:47]
What is your website all about? And then number two, do we trust this brand? The third question is how does everything work? You need to tell them and simply like three, four steps.

[00:15:35]
The fourth question then, what do you want your user to do? What's your main call to action? It needs to be very clear. Be direct as much as you can. Work with your copywriter to see. Can we be a little bit more playful but direct?

[00:17:21]
I'll tell you what drives me crazy on websites, especially, let's talk about converting and selling actively on websites. What drives me absolutely crazy is when I'm trying to buy something and they're making it difficult. How do we balance that and convert sales effectively through websites?

[00:24:21]
What are some of these different interactions that we need to present to them so that we can keep the journey going? At the end of the day, you want to build a brand loyalty for your customers. Can we contextualize the five elements with an example?

[00:29:29]
The sole purpose of your business is to create customers. Any client or customer facing channels needs to be all about them. Please do put your pictures on the website because this is about creating connection. At the end of the day, we're building business with fellow human.

[00:32:40]
Are there too many pages on a website? Do you recommend keeping it to a couple? How does someone start building a site map? It's never too late to get into building up your own site map.
